Your Day has Come

, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD rises upon you. See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples, but the LORD rises upon you and his glory appears over you. (Isaiah 60)

The command arise and shine. Jerusalem’s charge to Zion is to us the peoples charge o the church, to arise and shine. Jerusalem at Isaiah’s time had no power to arise and shine for her sins were ever before here but

here was a corner of the earth that was to be alightened by the light. when Christ commanded the leper ‘Be clean’ the lper himself has no power to change but as Christ speaks he is cleansed. Arise says the prophet theres power iin one word form God. ;Tabitha arise’ (Acts 9:10). to the lepers whose glory lay ahead of them ‘why sit we here till we die?’ ‘ARISE’ To the prophets sitting in the cave ‘ARISE.’

You can arise because there is light in you. When light comes is has its morning awakening and so too does the word of the Lord to the preacher. what does light do for it has power to dispel the darkness, that word form God to you has power top save, heal and deliver. If light revealtio truth has come then so too has revival come to you.

great darkness has come. while darkness covers the earth great light has come to the church. those who lived in darkness have seen a great light. what is this light Christ! and the revelation of his person. Christ and his salvation for all men. Christ and his wisdom as to what Israel aught to do. ‘In the worlds darkest moment you and I will look good’ the darker the moment the more glorious we shine

Gross darkness is fertile soil for passionate preaching

But… the LORD will rise upon you, Selah, pause and think of this. BUT, the lord will rise upon you…….and His glory will appear over YOU. 3Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your dawn.

Lift up your eyes and look around: They all gather and come to you; your sons will come from afar, and your daughters will be carried on the arm.  That’s revival my friend, sons and daughters coming to Christ. Carried on the arm. Hallelujah. Don’t hide your light in the darkness but let it shine give that word preach that gospel. when the world says shut up then that’s the time to open up.

5Then you will look and be radiant, and your heart will tremble and swell with joy, because the riches of the sea will be brought to you, and the wealth of the nations will come to you. (v3-5). what promises and what Joy that accompanies it.
